recent projects

So I've been beading quite a bit lately. This is just the tiniest bit of stuff that I've done- I give alot (the best stuff) away. My favourite is the bottom most one, just 'cause it actually looks profesh.

So, this set of bracelet, mecklace and earings is going to be sent to scotland for my friend Liisa's birthday. I thought I'd make her something special instaed of buying something very similar.

Ok, I've also done some embroidery. This is the only remaining piece I've got hanging around- the rest have again been given away. This is a hand towel, and for those who can't quite make it out the embroidered text is "Wash Your Damn Hands". I did a hankie for my firend Hugh with a germ on it, which I hope to one day get a picture of and post it. That's some of my best work.
I've also done a patchwork quilt for Kiran recently, made out of dresses I wore alot when we first started dating. And some other wikked patterns, so hopefully I'll get a pic of that sometime too.

As usual, I've been knitting. This is a hot waterbottle cover in the making.

I've also doing some socks for Kiran. The green one's completely done, but the blue one's not there at all.

I've also done a whole heap of knitted cup cakes for various people, all different patterned and decorated with beads and wool.

I want to start some tea cosies soon, as well as some different kinds of beanies and maybe some real mittens, not the cheating cut off ones.

Over the holidays I plan to get all this crap out of my system so I can start back at tafe nice and fresh :) Kiran and I are going to melbourne on Sunday morning, so that'll be a really nice break from everything for a while.

Seasonal Knits

As some of you may know, I love the needles. I work the sticks. I twist the thread.

Alright I can't actually make it sound as cool as I thought: I knit. I've knitted scarves, hats, and fingerless mittens, and hope to go onto this year, tea cosies, cardigans and socks.
So, I thought I might share some pictures with you! Thats right, you!

I've just finnished this pair of looovely gloves for winter. This is my latest pattern triumph, and I'm quite quite proud of them.

This "Twizzle Hat" (??? Its American. They're crazy) was from last year before I got sick. I look like a Gumnut Baby.

Scarves were the year before last, and the year beofre that. So many people wanted them. If YOU'RE interested, aproach me with a ball of wool of your choosing and a smile. I'm more than happy to knit anyone one. If you want an extra long/fat one, 2 ball of wool are needed though.
